Characteristics

Located in the meridional section that runs from Sierra de la Ventana up to the proximities of the Atlantic coast, Club de Golf Palihue is located on the meadow next to Ventana Hills. It stands on 72 hectares of woods  with native species of trees , like eucalyptus, aguaribays terebinth trees, oaks and willow trees, together with perennial trees like pine trees, cypreses and bushes.

Over 50 year-old trees can be appreciated in the old course, while the new one offers young 10 year-old trees. The golf course is located in the valley of the Naposta Grande stream, its gentle slopes are limited by a man-made tough embankment which runs parallel to the Naposta stream to prevent unexpected floods.

Deep ditches have been built in the 30 hectars of the flood valley to allow the superficial water drainage that drains off in a man-made gutter.

The golf course has three putting greens, a practice green and 27 holes divided into three rounds of 9, called South, East and West which combined form a 72 pair golf course.

The new greens were built under USGA specifications and covered by a lawn carpet of agrostis Crenshaw.

There are more than 80 bunkers all around golf course, together with an artificial lake and a stream which crosses the fairways of the central course several times.
